There can be variations in the actual appearance of the product compared to the display photo on the website. This could be attributed to the dissimilarities in the individual’s eye colour and iris pattern. Additionally, other factors such as lighting, camera filter, and eye shape can also contribute to the differences.

3) May I inquire about the composition of your contact lenses and their safety for use?
The lenses are typically composed of polyhema and water, with water content ranging from 38% to 40%. Rest assured that the lenses are generally deemed safe and have received approval from ISO 13485. If you encounter a situation where the circle lenses are stuck in the glass bottle upon receipt, do not let it dampen your excitement. There are two simple steps that you can follow to safely remove them. Firstly, shake the bottle gently upside down from left to right repeatedly until the lenses come off. Secondly, if you have contact lens tweezers, you may use them to extract the lenses. Alternatively, you can use a cotton bud by dipping it directly into the bottle to remove the lenses. It is important to handle them with utmost care and gentleness.

3) How can I understand the details mentioned on my prescription given by the doctor?
Here’s a breakdown of some important terms you may come across while reading your prescription:

  • OD refers to your right eye, while OS refers to your left eye. If both eyes have the same diagnosis and prescription, the abbreviation OU will be used.
  • Sphere (SPH) indicates the lens power needed to correct nearsightedness or farsightedness, with a plus sign for hyperopia and a minus sign for myopia. Blushy Eyes currently offers hyperopia lenses for custom orders only which can be ordered via email at info@blushyeyes.com
  • Cylinder (CYL) indicates the lens power needed to correct astigmatism. If this is not noted on your prescription, either you do not have astigmatism or it is not severe enough to require correction. You can order astigmatism lenses through custom order via email at info@blushyeyes.com
  • Axis indicates the degree and direction of your astigmatism, measured in degrees from 1 to 180.
  • Base Curve (BC) determines the type of fit required for the lens to match the curve of your eye. This is usually measured in millimetres or designated as flat, median, or steep.
  • Diameter (DIA) plays a crucial role in determining the optimal fit for your eye. The measurement is expressed in millimetres and refers to the width of the lens from end to end. This information is helpful in selecting a lens that can provide the perfect fit for your needs.

4) It seems that my prescription for contacts has expired, Can I still purchase the coloured contact lenses?
Unfortunately, it’s not recommended to purchase contacts with an expired prescription. You’ll need to have a current and valid prescription to make any purchases. It’s crucial to prioritize scheduling regular eye exams not just for the sake of purchasing contacts, but to ensure the health and well-being of your eyes.

Important Reminder:
Kindly ensure that you have entered the correct prescription details while placing your order. In case of any discrepancies, we regret to inform you that we won’t be able to proceed with your order. This is to ensure compliance with legal regulations and to ensure your safety. We sincerely value your cooperation and patience during this process.

1) What are quick wear & care tips?
Before you put on your contact lenses, it is important to follow some simple steps. First, ensure that your hands are clean and dry. For non-daily disposable lenses, soak them in a multi-purpose contact lens solution for at least 8 hours before the first use. Make sure to gently rub and rinse the lenses with contact lens solution before and after each use. Also, check the shape of the lens to ensure it has not turned inside out before putting it on.

2) Why am I experiencing blurry vision with coloured contact lenses?
If you experience blurry vision while wearing contact lenses, there are two possible reasons. First, check if you have purchased the correct diopter and base curve according to your prescription. Second, inspect the shape of the lens to ensure it has not turned inside out. If the lens is not in the correct shape, it can cause discomfort and move around when you blink.
If you still have any concerns or questions, feel free to contact us at info@blushyeyes.com or consult with your eye doctor for immediate assistance.

3) What are the most important Do’s and don’ts of coloured contact lenses?
As a responsible wearer, it is important to adhere to certain guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • Tap water should never be used to clean your lenses as it can harbour harmful bacteria. Instead, opt for a multipurpose solution and change the solution in your lens storage daily to prevent the growth of germs.
  • To avoid confusion, only use the left lens for your left eye and the right lens for your right eye, creative labelling can be used to avoid any mix-up.
  • Replace your lens case every three months.
  • Moisturize dry eyes with eye drops in the appropriate amount, and store your lenses at room temperature.
  • Limit your wear time to 8 hours a day and avoid sleeping with your lenses in to prevent corneal ulcers and infections.
  • It is also important to refrain from wearing lenses while swimming or using a sauna.
  • Never share your contact lenses with others.
  • Remove your lenses if you experience any discomfort.
